Trees can get dressed up for the holidays too, and these are commonly referred to as the year-round holiday tree. I want to spread word about these and to nullify any negative input of it.
They like all the holidays! Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, July 4th, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are the most common holidays these year-round trees experience.
Typically, the backdrop will be the classic green tree you have during Christmas, but some people like changing it up, making it pink, orange, black, even red, white, and blue.
Personally, these are adorable. My aunt has one that she decorates for Easter, Halloween, and Christmas, as well as Disney-themed when her and my uncle’s anniversary is coming up. It isn’t restrictive, which I find enjoyable. It could be for a major date and not just a major holiday.
These trees can be adorned with every color of the rainbow, to monochrome. Bright as the sun to dark as space. The creative freedom of the trees is endless. They aren’t restricted to just holidays; the premise of the holiday allows creative freedom to have structure. The tree doesn’t want to overwhelm anyone because it wants a year-long fashion show. Even fashion shows have themes.
Some people don’t like these trees, considering them impractical, a waste of time and space, or useless. These people clearly weren’t the type of kids who went outside, picked pinecones for ornaments, and licked sticky sap off their palms because attempting to wipe it off burned.
Year-round holiday trees have sparked arguments between my friends and me.. They had found them ugly, a waste of time, and pointless. From “Just celebrate like a normal person,” to “won’t you trash that after this month?” No, you save the decorations to use next year. Except pinecones. They still didn’t see its worth unless it was for Christmas. Despite them complaining about putting out and up the tree. It is more practical to keep the tree up all year round and decorate it according to the upcoming holiday or even the season.
These trees can keep your space radiant, help you mentally get into the holiday, and brighten the room. It could even be used as a reminder, ambient light, and maybe just boosts your mood. It can become a year-long hobby to decorate it accordingly. You’d be in S-tier for rolling up your string of lights.
A nice addition with pinecones is that anyone can paint them, decorate them, and anyone can find them outside in the backyard. Creativeness doesn’t always lie in Hobby Lobby and the Christmas in July Walmart section. I encourage people to start doing year-round holiday trees. It is an enjoyable activity throughout the year to commit to.
