I think they’re a good base to start with. They give you a starting point for the weather. But I also think you’ve just gotta either take a chance or watch what the weather is doing yourself.

I personally hate our new “snow days”. Since Covid students have been more stressed than ever before. When it snows and the county calls a snow day it no longer feels like a day off. It just feels like any other regular day of at home school. I think the occasional snow days should be used as off days for students. Students need days to catch up on the already extra school work that has been assigned and usually they would use snow days for that. Now they just get even more work assigned. Teachers are assigning more work than ever before and now we never have days off to either catch up on the work or to just take a “mental health” day. We’ve had one real snow day this year and it was extremely needed for me. I think students mental health would do better if the county allowed snow days to be real snow days.
