Justin Burrous, Writer
Hey! My name is Justin Burrous, this year I am a senior at CHHS and this is my first year on the Central Times staff.
In my free time, you can find me going on adventures with my friend’s whether going to target or driving around all of Hardin County. My friends mean the most to me and I am so beyond glad that they are in my life. I wouldn’t be in the spot I am, do the things I do, or be the person I am today without them. I also enjoy reading a good mystery or self-discovery book, painting, finding treasures at a thrift store, and shopping for new additions to my vinyl collection. While I’m doing a lot of those things, I am almost always listening to music. My favorite artists are Mac Miller, J. Cole, or Tyler, The Creator. I also have a passion for helping people with their mental health. Depression and anxiety are something that many of us suffer from and it isn’t something to be ashamed of. I want to make a difference in someone’s day and encourage them to keep going!
This year, I will bring more student-based articles to the newspaper. As a student myself, I feel like it can be hard at times to voice your thoughts about topics happening at our school. With this in mind, I want to write about the things you have opinions on. You have a voice in our school! What do you feel could be better? What do you feel is going well? I also want to add articles about mental health. Things that educate, support, and make a difference. Mental illness is something many people suffer from, including myself, and I want to help someone push through their bad days to get to the good ones.
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts and make pieces that you want to hear and bring hope for better days to someone’s day! Please reach out to me via email or my Instagram if you have something you want me to write about or just to chat! :)
