Dried tears on my face
Anger built up in my chest
Enemies all around
I am not safe
Hurt feelings cover me
Like a thick, heavy tarp
I can’t wash off
The dried tears on my face
I am broken, shattered
From fake friends and rumors
Why can’t you see
The dried tears on my face?
The people I know
Are at each other’s throats
They helped cause
The dried tears on my face
People complient me
On my outfit, hair, and jewerly
They don’t look or see
The dried tears on my face
Look at me in the face
Don’t shy away
Come look and see
The dried tears on my face
Someone understand me please
Reach out a hand
Tell the truth to
The dried tears on my face.

I get the feeling. A lot of the time, we get broken down and people don’t see the hurt that they cause. Since you wrote this, you’re showing others that there is a way to have emotional release through writing. Thank you for writing this!
