Social on Main Review
Reasons Why You Need to Go to Social on Main

For the longest time, I didn’t know what Social On Main was. It wasn’t until my Mom showed me a Facebook post when I finally discovered what it is and learned that after years of construction, the new entertainment place has finally opened. With the curiosity rising within me, I thought I would see what this new place was all about by reviewing my experience. After countless visits of trying their food, entertainment options, and comfy seating…I would say I’m pleasantly surprised. Here’s my take on my Social on Main experience and why I recommend that everyone gives it a shot.

The Food

There are 3 different food options you can choose from at Social on Main: A pizza place, sandwich place, and Filipino restaurant.

Maillards (Pizza)

This was the first place I ate at the first time I visited here. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and some cheesy bread. Now I don’t mean to sound dramatic, but the cheesy bread was AMAZING. It wasn’t overloaded with cheese or just a piece of bread either, rather it was a perfect combination of both and wow, I am still craving it just thinking about it. The pepperoni pizza was really good too. This is a brick oven pizza place, so everything is super warm and fresh right out the oven. The service was pretty fast as well. The only negative thing I would say is that there aren’t too many drink options.

Reuben’s Deli Delicacy (Sandwiches)

Now if you know me, you would know that I absolutely love sandwiches (Italian specifically). Jimmy John’s and Penn Station are my personal favorites. With this in mind, I couldn’t wait to try the sandwiches here to see if it would make it on my top sandwich place list. I ordered an Italian sandwich with fries. The Italian sandwich was more than delicious. The thing that makes a good Italian sandwich often is the bread, and I was more than pleased with the warm, soft, and firm bread that held all my toppings. The fries were also delicious as they were seasoned greatly and I didn’t even need to use ketchup.

Taglish (Filipino)

When it comes to trying new foods I am always cautious. Having food allergies plus being a picky eater don’t really go in hand; however, I was open to trying something new. My mom ordered some lumpias for me to try (it was like a spring roll with beef and pork) and they were excellent! I had no idea what they were at first, but wow, was I well pleased. Along with the beef inside, it had some vegetables and a sweet tasting sauce. I really enjoyed this appetizer and am looking forward to trying more things on their menu!

The Entertainment

The Social on Main has a variety of ways to meet the crowd’s entertainment desires. You can find huge platform TV’s, duckpin bowling, and even a gaming room upstairs filled with consoles. Out of all these three, I’ve only seen two of the three as the gaming room upstairs has yet to be opened. However, I saw a glimpse of someone playing NBA 2K so I’m sure it will definitely be a hit. People will be able to rent consoles such as the Nintendo, Xbox, etc. I can’t wait to see it all put together!

As far as duckpin bowling goes, I believe it is great for all ages. I say this because at first I thought it was just a kid thing due to the small sizes, but I was beyond wrong. I saw many people of all ages having so much fun and the alley was super nice. Even the TV they had there that showed scores even looked super professional. It was great seeing families there having a great time.

Finally, the Social on Main definitely has it together with all the TV access they have. You can watch sports, movies, and comedy TV. I don’t know what it is, but seeing everyone with their family and friends sitting around and watching a game is just heartwarming. This facility also makes it really convenient for people with bigger groups as well. Truly, you could definitely have a reunion if you wanted to!

Summary

Overall, I think Social on Main is a great place to go! Having a nice place to go out to spend time with your loved ones is super convenient and fun. I really like where the Elizabethtown downtown is going and can’t wait to see it continue to grow. If you want to visit Social on Main, their hours are 11am-9pm Tuesdays-Thursdays and they stay open until midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Finding a good place to eat can be an obstacle sometimes, but whether you end up liking your food or not, I encourage you to focus on building your relationship with others. Eating your meal doesn’t make going out to eat fun, rather it is the people you share your meal with!
