The Central Hardin band works hard each year toward promoting the school’s success through their performances. Their talent does not go unnoticed and creates a symbol of pride for Central as a whole. As you’re reading this, the band is preparing for their next big show, which will surely blow audiences away.

Since the beginning of the year, the band has been practicing for their upcoming concert, which takes place tomorrow (Dec. 12) at 7 pm in the auxiliary gym. Performing together will be the concert and symphonic band, while the wind ensemble will be playing solo.

They have a setlist of four popular orchestral songs that they will be showcasing which are  “Apollo Unleashed,” “Red Rock Mountain,” “Shepherd’s Hay,” and “This Cruel Moon.” Although these may not necessarily be festive songs to fit the Christmas season, they will still produce a beautiful sensation amongst the crowd.

Band students themselves are also looking forward to the concert and hoping everything goes well. Freshman Emma Haynes, who is part of the wind ensemble, expressed what she is anticipating for that night.

“I’m excited to finally play the pieces that we’ve been working on for so long. I’m hoping that I play my solos right, as well as everyone else. It’s a team effort, so as long as everyone does their best, it should all work out and we should be able to put on a good performance,” Haynes said.

All are welcome to attend and with luck, the gym will be full of eager engagement.
