Hey, my name is Alex Lyon! I’m a sophomore, and this is my first year being on The Central Times Staff 2025-26. I’m so grateful and happy for this opportunity, and I’m looking forward to the experience that awaits me!

I am looking forward to using my writing skills to further grow my skills and my love for writing! I think that our newspaper staff is so important to inform us about the issues that affect and concern us in our community and school, and I know that our staff will achieve so much this year! 

A little about me: I’m involved in Beta Club, Track and Field, and Cross Country, and this year I also want to join Y-Club. My favorite hobby is reading, mainly classic literature, but I like reading different types of books too. I also love to paint and draw, and I love to run, especially with friends and family. I love nature and spending time with my dog. I love to learn about politics, science, and art history, and my favorite subjects are math and English. 

This upcoming school year, I hope to use my writing skills to the best of my ability, make connections with the school’s community, and celebrate the amazing students and staff here at Central.
