In July of 2021, when 2022 alum Reagan Reed returned home from five weeks at the Governor’s Scholar Program, she had an idea that she thought would lift spirits at Central Hardin and enhance school climate.
It was the idea to create a place where students could write a kind note to a peer or adult in the building, and then have that note delivered by the newspaper staff. With this simple sharing of an idea, The Central Times Kindness Korner was initiated.
A few times a year, generally once a month, you will see members of The Central Times staff set up at a table during PowerHour in the commons area with small pieces of cardstock and pens. Take a minute to write an encouraging note to a friend or Central Hardin staff member. Make sure to know their first name, last name, and 3rd block teacher. We will deliver it to them in 3rd block a day or two later, and you never know what that note could do for their mindset.
Be thinking about whose day you want to brighten, and we’ll see you Tuesday and Wednesday of this week in the commons area during PowerHour.
