Bruin of the Week
November 2, 2018
The Central Times firmly believes in reaching out to the student body and recognizing students for their accomplishments. If you know someone who is an amazing athlete, studious scholar, astonishing artist, mind-blowing musician, virtuous volunteer, or anyone that is brilliant Bruin, submit a nomination. Please include the student’s name, grade, and a quick recommendation for why they should be a Bruin of the Week in the comments below!

I believe that Allessandra Thomas (9th grade) should be recognized for her artistic talents and creativity. She uses visual art as a form of therapy and it is a creative outlet for her. I have found that her creative talents and abilities inspire other students in the classroom and within the Bruin Art Club. I enjoy discussing her creativity and basis behind her artwork. She actually inspired the Bruin Art Club’s November Sketchbook Challenge because she works to complete the “Inktober” challenge every year! As a visual art teacher, I believe Allessandra is a strong artist who will continue to grow throughout her high school years and beyond with the creative drive she has illustrated!

I’d like to nominate Brandon Life for Bruin of the Week. He is very kind hearted, helpful, a good friend, nice, very involved in class, and is very respectful. Brandon brings laughter to the class and puts a smile on everyones face. he is a joy to have in class.

I wold like to nominate Colin Tabor for Bruin of the Week. He is very kind, and not afraid to share what is on his mind. He is a helpful person as well. He helps me whenever he can if I am in a jam.
