Chick-Fil-A’s remodel draws attention from customers
January 10, 2019
Chick-Fil-A is one of the most popular restaurants in Elizabethtown with a constant crowd of people visiting every day.
The Chick-Fil-A location on Dixie Highway will be closed from Feb. 9 toward the end of March due to remodeling.
This shutdown is causing many loyal customers to become upset and disappointed. When the location announced that they would remodel, many people commented that there should be another location in Elizabethtown.
Owner/operator Chris Flanagan agrees with the customers but commented on Facebook, “Our corporate office handles all real estate decisions and I have very little control over this piece of business.”
Flanagan, as seen in his post below, advises concerned customers to call the corporate office and express their feelings.
Senior Kayla Slaubaugh, a Chick-Fil-A employee, says that these renovations will improve the guest’s experiences. Since she will not have a job, she plans to file for unemployment.
According to senior Hannah Cromer, another Chick-Fil-A employee, some of the planned renovations are a bigger drive-thru and a more spacious interior.
“The change will be good,” she said.

I can’t wait for Chick-Fil-A to reopen. The remodel was much needed and I love that the owner is so open to communicating with the Etown community!
