After a long hiatus, the much-anticipated homecoming dance is finally returning to Central Hardin. The halls are buzzing with excitement about the upcoming dance, which is scheduled for Oct. 26 promises to be a night to remember.
Although Project Graduation Coordinator Rosalie Batistoni is the advisor of the event, it has all been student-led and student-planned, which was an aspect that principal Tim Isaacs really liked.
The senior class has been hard at work organizing the entire event, with the goal of raising funds for project graduation, which is an event for seniors that takes place the night of graduation to keep them safe.
The upcoming homecoming dance at our school is for students of every grade. The dance will be exclusive to our school, so only students from our school are invited to attend – no guests from other schools.
“Not allowing students from other schools to attend the dance is for a few reasons,” Batistoni explained. “It is to ensure that the most amount of Central students can attend, and so we can celebrate homecoming as a community.”
Tickets for the homecoming dance are available for $10 each, and water will be provided at the event. The dance will be held in the auxiliary gym. Attendee numbers are limited.
The dress code for the dance is really whatever makes you most comfortable, as the dance is meant to be inclusive and focused on the homecoming spirit.
“You are free to dress as you please—whether it’s fancy or casual—” Batistoni said., “Just no pajamas, please.”
Although there are costs with everything involved, it is a great way to raise money for Project Grad, so, if this dance is a success, there are hopes of more homecoming dances in the future.
We encourage everyone to come and join in the fun. The dance will kick off at 8:00 p.m. and continue until 11:30 p.m., promising a night of music, dance, and celebration.
