Bruin JROTC hosts Hardin County Drill Cup

The Bruin JROTC Battalion hosted the Hardin County Drill Cup on February 27th.  A good crowd was on hand to watch and support the Cadets from Central, John, and North Hardin in the 6th annual meeting.  The Kentucky Army National Guard provided judges for the seven-team event competition and Knockout event.

The Central Hardin commanders and their event(s):  Virgil Ramsey – Platoon Drill; Halli Hardesty – Demilitarized Squad; Leilani Lei-Sam – Female Color Guard; Tyler Ellis – Demilitarized Arms Color Guard and Armed Exhibition Drill; Leilani Lei-Sam and Theaira Thurston – Unarmed Exhibition Drill; Clayton Hockman – 1st Year Squad and Color Guard.  

The Bruins enter the SGM Paul C. Gray Memorial Drill Championship (7th Brigade – MI, IN, OH, KY & TN) on 9-10 March with a 46-0 record having won all three meets they have entered this year.  The Bruins will finish out the drill season on 16 March in Dayton, OH, at the Trotwood-Madison Drill Meet which they have won the last 7 years.
