Build-A-Card

Dailey Harris

In celebration of Earth Week, the Earth Club and Green Team are hosting a craft event in the freshman science labs for everyone who would like to participate.

Green Team sponsor Carissa Argueta and Earth Club sponsor Tina Cox are collaborating to create an opportunity for students to create cards for an occasion they chose.

This event will take place on May 7, 8, and 9 , but if successful, it will carry over till the week of May 13.

Students can use any type of waste paper, even if it is from the bottom of their backpacks.
To make the paper, students will combine the old paper and water in a blender. There are options where you can add your materials, such as essential oils, glitter, blue jean material, and dried flowers.

Students can make cards for teachers (Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10), Mother’s Day (May 12), a nursing home resident, or anyone you chose.

Please see Argueta or Cox for more information. A follow-up article about this event will be posted on a later date.
